Sequim Service Fest Update for June 6, 2018

Progress continued on public and private projects as a part of Sequim Service Fest on June 6, 2018.

Habitat for Humanity Care-A-Vanners continued work on a private property on West Hammond by constructing a new fence and preparing the house for painting. Volunteers began preparing a house for paint on West Spruce, a structure on Spruce Street was removed, and dugout roofing and painting continued at Dr. Standard Park. Another successful Rally in the Alley was held with six dumpsters at three locations filled with unwanted items and debris by 10:00 a.m.

Work will continue on the private properties on West Hammond and West Spruce on Thursday, June 7. In addition, volunteers will mount the posts for informational kiosks in each of the City’s seven neighborhoods and a new picnic shelter will be constructed at Margaret Kirner Park.

Community members who want to volunteer can sign in at the Guy Cole Event Center at Carrie Blake Park each weekday morning through June 15.
A full schedule of Sequim Service Fest events can be found on the City website at"798."

Sequim Service Fest will run through June 15. The first-of-its-kind event is a partnership between The City of Sequim, Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County, and First Federal.
