Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the undersigned at the City of Sequim, 152 West Cedar Street, Sequim, Washington 98382, up to 2:00 p.m.; local time on Tuesday June 6, 2017, for furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and guarantees thereof to construct the 2017 City-wide Pavement Preservation project. The sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after the time and date stated above.  

This contract calls for dig out repair, unsuitable foundation excavation, pavement planing, pavement pre-leveling, asphalt  overlay, shoulder finishing and traffic control at various locations around the city. The Engineer’s Estimate is $740,000. The locations include:

W. Prairie Street from Sequim Ave to South 5th Ave.

Miller Road & S. Sequim Ave  

E. Silberhorn Rd/S 7th Ave

NE Sequim (between Sequim Ave & Brown Rd)

Old Olympic Highway( multiple locations)

W Hemlock Between 4th & 5th

W Alder & N 3rd

All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions, Contract Plans and Standard Specifications for this project and any addenda issued thereto that are on file at the office of the City Clerk, 152 W Cedar St, Sequim, WA 98382. Bidders may obtain a copy of the Contract Provisions, Plans and Bid Proposal Form, free of charge, in electronic format (PDF via email) along with registration as a plan-holder through the City of Sequim Public Works Office. Requests may be faxed to ((360) 681-0552) or emailed to (). 

Bid Proposals are to be submitted only on the Proposal Form provided to registered plan-holders.  All Bid Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, money order, or bid bond payable to the “City of Sequim” and in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. The City of Sequim expressly reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive minor irregularities or informalities and to Award the Project to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as it best serves the interests of the City.
