May 5 - 10, 2014
demolition complete
Demolition of the old City Hall and the two Serenity House Buildings is complete.
Lydig Construction will be working on the following this week:
1)  Work directive on unforeseen tank removal
2)  Earthwork subcontractor mobilization to site
3)  Start surveying and layout of project site and grading
4)  Begin work on sewer encasement work
5)  Beginning May 9, Interwest Construction will be potholing in the Westbound Cedar St. lane to locate the water main that the sanitary sewer line will run under.

May 12 - 16, 2014
manhole installation on w. cedar st.
A new manhole is being installed on W. Cedar Street
Interwest Construction continues with the installation of a new manhole on W. Cedar Street.  They will be working on the following:
1) Expect a detour/no through traffic sign on W. Cedar Street.  Businesses are still open
2) Set up sewer line bypass and excavate and set manhole on W. Cedar Street
3) Begin digging on Seal St. and the alley for new sewer line
4) Install piping in trench, test line and tie into existing manhole and new manhole
5) Backfill trench and put temporary patch over trench lines
6) PUD to set new power poles on North side of the alley

May 19 - 23, 2014
manhole work continues
Manhole work on Cedar St. will be complete by mid-week.Grading of site to begin.
Lydig Construction will be working on the following:
1) Complete backfill and asphalt patching for sewer line
2) Begin excavation and asphalt removal for PUD conduit installation in the alley
3) Earthwork subcontractor to continue site demolition material removal
4) Earthwork subcontractor to start site excavation and grading in preparation of building pad
5) There will be some intermittent traffic stoppage on Cedar St. on Monday, May 19
6) The alley behind Cedar St.  will be closed to traffic for approximately 2 weeks for utility work

May 27 - 30, 2014
grading continues
Grading of the construction site continues.
Lydig Construction will be working on the following:
1) Earthwork subcontractor to complete site grading and layout of building pad
2) PUD pulling wire and setting fuse cabinet in the alley
3) WAVE and CenturyLink installing conduit in the alley
4) Excavation for footings
5) Form and reinforce footings for concrete

The alley will be closed for construction work all of next week.
