2022 Pavement Preservation & Ped-Bike Improvement Projects

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The City of Sequim will be rehabilitating selected sections of streets and ODT this fall, date TBD. This project includes placement of Hot Mix Asphalt, milling, ADA ramp construction, sidewalk replacement, and other associated work. The work will take place Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The project is expected to take three to four weeks to complete and is weather dependent.

Work will be performed at the following locations: Oak Wood Drive, Oak Tree Ridge Street, East Hendrickson Road, West Hendrickson Road, Garry Oak Drive, North Brown Road, East Fir Street, Olympic Discovery Trail (small portions of located at or near Kendall Rd, 7th Ave, 5th Ave, W Hendrickson (across from middle school), E Washington (across form Holiday inn), Keeler Rd.   Work will affect these roads during construction: North Sunnyside Avenue, North Knapman Avenue, North Govan Avenue, North Matriotti Ave, W Hendrickson Road (ODT Portions), E Washington Street.

Residents can expect delays, localized closures, and detours during work hours. Resident access will be provided, however, residents are encouraged to heed flaggers, cones, and construction signage, and to be cognizant of large construction equipment and trucks and their backup alarms.


N. 7th Ave Water Main Replacement, W Fir St to W Spruce St

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Installation of new 8-inch diameter water main, valves, hydrants, 4-inch and 3-inch diameter water supply piping, concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, HMA pavement, and pavement markings of select city streets will occur this fall, date TBD. The work locations include, but are not limited to N 7th Avenue, W Spruce St, W Fir St, N Spalder Lp, and S Spalder Lp. 


Sequim Avenue Sidewalk and Bike Lane Project

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

A proposal to construct a sidewalk and bike lane on the west side of N. Sequim Avenue, and to modernize and retrofit the existing roundabout at the N. Sequim Avenue and Old Olympic Highway/Port Williams Road intersection by modifying the existing geometry and provide safe pedestrian crossing, including illumination.
