Sequim Community Garden
About the Community Garden
The Sequim Community Garden at June Robinson Memorial Park offers annual plots for organic growing. Chemical fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides are not allowed in the community gardens. The availability of plots is dependent on returning users who will get first option to renew their plots until November 15 each year. The plots will then go live on a first come first serve basis on our new CIVICREC website where you can pick and pay for your plot. The plots will be open to gardeners year round from November 15 - October 31 the following year. While the garden will still be open during November 1-15, that is the City's opportunity to conduct maintenance and is designed for gardeners to clean out their plots, replace soil, prep for winter, etc.
The site also offers a work shed where the City provides tools, seeds, vinegar mix (for clearing walkways of excess growth), and a place to hold work gloves. There are also hoses and shower heads located throughout the garden for easy access to water for your plants.
If you lease a plot, it’s available throughout the year. In-ground plots can be somewhat variable in size and shape but average about 100 square feet. We also provide a limited number of elevated beds (32-40 square feet) for those who cannot physically handle the traditional, in-ground plot.
The fee for a plot is $30 for your first year, $40 for the second year, and $60 for year three and beyond.
