The City of Sequim, Clallam County Fire District 3, and the Sequim School District have jointly opened an Emergency Coordinating Center, effective March 18, to support the efforts of the Clallam County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in response to the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The goal of the Coordinating Center is to help the County EOC identify needs and resources in eastern Clallam County and to help them respond to the community as needed.
“By having key players from each agency in the same room, it makes it easier to respond to the needs of the community and to better communicate with each other and the Clallam County EOC,” said City Manager Charlie Bush.
The Coordinating Center is in the Sequim Transit Center and is not open to the public. If the public has questions about COVID-19, they are encouraged to call the County Hotline at 360-417-2430 or visit the Clallam County website at http://www.clallam.net/Coronavirus/.
