To help minimize the spread of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) has closed all recreational fishing in wake of Governor Jay Inslee’s ‘Stay Home, Stay Healthy’ order. This includes the fishing pond at the Class “A” Water Re-Use Demonstration Site located at Carrie Blake Park.
The WDFW placed this in effect on March 25, 2020 and will remain in place until at least 5 p.m. on April 8, 2020. They plan on re-evaluating on April 6 to determine whether the closure will be extended or not. If you’d like to learn more about the WDFW’s coronavirus response, please visit https://wdfw.wa.gov/about/covid-19-updates. All updates to openings and closures will be posted there in real time.
