The City of Sequim is seeking applicants to fill a vacant post on the Civil Service Commission.  The appointment is to fill a vacancy through December 31, 2020.  The Commissioner may then be reappointed for a six-year term ending December 31, 2026.  State law requires applicants must be a U.S. citizen, a registered voter in Clallam County, and have three years of residency in the City of Sequim preceding their appointment.

The Sequim Civil Service Commission performs certain personnel-related aspects of the Sequim Police Department, as well as serving as a review body for police disciplinary actions.  The Commission meets the first Tuesday of each month at 8:30 a.m.  Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, meetings will be held virtually until Clallam County enters into Phase 3 of Governor Jay Inslee’s Safe Start Plan.

The deadline to apply is Friday, October 30, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. To apply, please go to the City website, download and complete the Application for Appointment, and send it along with your letter of intent and resume to Human Resources Manager Emily Stednick at or mail to Human Resources, 152 West Cedar Street, Sequim, WA, 98382.
