Jamestown Healing Clinic Request for Sequim Resident to Serve on Community Advisory Committee

 The Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe is seeking a Sequim resident to serve on the Jamestown Healing (MAT) Clinic Community Advisory Committee. The Committee is made up of the following: Health Director of Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe, Sequim City Manager, Sequim Community Development Director, Sequim Police Chief, Clallam County Sheriff, Fire District #3 Chief, Jamestown S’Klallam Tribal Council Member, City of Sequim Council Member, a member of the health field, and a Sequim resident. The Committee meets the first Friday of every month from 9-10:00 am. Applications will be collected for the next 30 days after which the Community Advisory Committee will make a selection at its February meeting.

 The Committee is seeking a Sequim resident for the following activities:

  • Develop a monitoring and evaluation program for the Clinic.
  • Develop a contingency plan that fully identifies potential courses of action and any corrective actions to be taken when monitoring or evaluation indicates expectations and standards at the Clinic are not being met with respect to how Clinic operations impact the City’s public services beyond the impacts caused by other outpatient clinics in the City. Corrective measures shall be limited to addressing increased law enforcement and other emergency services caused by Clinic operations, if any. Corrective measures must be proportional to and may not exceed the impacts the Clinic actually causes to such public services.
  • The Committee shall have no power or authority to act on any matters that are outside the Limited Purpose. For example, the Committee shall have no authority to make decisions regarding Clinic operations.
Qualifications:

1. Must be 18 years or older.

2. Must reside within the city limits of Sequim.

3. Qualities – Objective, Fair-minded, Analytical

 Those who do not have access to apply online may submit a letter of interest describing why you would be a good Sequim community representative. Please include name, address, age, and number of years residing in Sequim.
