[ARCHIVED] City of Sequim to Begin West Washington Street Overlay Project

The City of Sequim will rehabilitate selected sections of Washington Street beginning April 25.  The work will take place Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. except May 2nd through May 5th when work will take place Monday through Friday from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The project is expected to take three to four weeks to complete and is weather dependent.    

Work will be performed at the following locations:

    West Washington Street from River Road to 9th Avenue.

Residents can expect delays, localized closures, and detours during work hours. Resident access will be provided, however, residents are encouraged to heed flaggers, cones, and construction signage, and to be cognizant of large construction equipment and trucks and their backup alarms.

This project includes placement of Hot Mix Asphalt, milling, ADA ramp construction, striping, traffic signal video detection installation, and other associated work. The project is being funded by a Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) and City Real Estate Excise Tax funds.  The work will be performed by Lakeside Industries, PR Systems, G & G Inc, Interwest Construction, and Olympic Concrete Cutting.
