[ARCHIVED] Call for Artists - Solstice

The City Arts Advisory Commission (CAAC) is seeking entries of art, in any medium, for the next exhibit in the Karen Kuznek-Reese Gallery at the Sequim Civic Center.

The theme for the exhibit is “Solstice.”  Artists are encouraged to submit pieces that visually explore the contrasts we experience in the Pacific Northwest during the long summer days and dark winter nights.   This theme is open to interpretation.   Artists are encouraged to submit work that explores the concepts of heat and cold, light and dark, summer and winter, sun and moon, yin and yang.

Deadline for submissions is Wednesday, September 7 at 4:00 p.m.  Only digital applications will be considered.  To enter, complete the form at this link which allows you to download up to three images (preferably 300 dpi) per entry

All entries will be juried by the CAAC by Monday, September 19 and artists will be notified of their status by Thursday, September 22.

For complete entry guidelines and exhibit information, visit the City website at or contact Arts Coordinator Sarah Hurt at or (360) 582-2477.
