[ARCHIVED] "Solstice" Art Exhibit to Open at the Sequim Civic Center

Solstice Photograph by Larry Hueth

Please join the City Arts Advisory Commission (CAAC) for the opening of “Solstice” an exhibit of art in a variety of medium that represents the images of contrast we experience with our long summer days and long winter nights. The exhibit will be displayed in the Karen Kuznek-Reese Gallery at the Sequim Civic Center, located at 152 West Cedar Street, October 7 through January 2.  An opening reception will be held on Friday, October 7 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.  The CAAC received 23 entries and selected 21 pieces for the exhibit.  Many of the participating artists are new to exhibiting their work in a gallery, so this will be an exciting moment to showcase the talents of professional and amateur artists from our area.

Regular gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Open Jam at the Sequim Civic Center

The CAAC will be hosting an Open Music Jam on Friday, October 7 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Sequim Civic Center.  Residents and visitors are invited to bring their musical instruments and voices and participate in the open jam session.

Please contact Arts Coordinator Sarah Hurt at or (360) 582-2477 with questions.
