The City of Sequim will be rehabilitating selected sections of streets and the Olympic Discovery Trail (ODT) beginning April 10. The work will take place Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The project is expected to take three to four weeks to complete and is weather dependent.
Work will be performed at the following locations (in tentative order):
• Oak Wood Drive
• Oak Tree Ridge Street
• East Hendrickson Road
• North Brown Road
• Olympic Discovery Trail (small portions located at or near Kendall Road, 7th Avenue, 5th Avenue, West Hendrickson Road (across from middle school), East Washington Street (across from the Holiday Inn), and Keeler Road.
• East Fir Street
• West Hendrickson Road
• Garry Oak Drive
Work will affect these roads during construction:
• North Sequim Avenue
• North Sunnyside Avenue
• North Knapman Avenue
• North Govan Avenue
• North Matriotti Avenue
• West Hendrickson Road (ODT Portions)
• East Washington Street
Residents can expect delays, localized closures, and detours during work hours. Resident access will be provided, however, residents are encouraged to heed flaggers, cones, and construction signage, and to be cognizant of large construction equipment and trucks and their backup alarms.
This project includes placement of Hot Mix Asphalt, milling, ADA ramp construction, sidewalk replacement, and other associated work. The work will be performed by Lakeside Industries, PR Systems, and Interwest Construction.
