[ARCHIVED] Sequim City Council Member Don Hall to Resign

Sequim City Council member Don Hall notified the City on October 10, 2012 that effective November 27, 2012 he will resign from the council.

Hall has served for more than eight years on the Sequim City Council. He was first appointed to the council on June 5, 2002 when he filled the seat vacated when Bill Thomas resigned. That term ended December 31, 2003. Subsequently, Hall successfully ran for the office and served an elected term January 1, 2004 through December 31, 2007. He ran for election again in 2009 and has served his current term since January 1, 2010.

“Don is one of the most interesting people I have had the pleasure to get to know and work with in our community, said City of Sequim Mayor Ken Hays. “He is kind and thoughtful and always even tempered. He brings a wealth of professional experience to his service. His boundless passion and commitment to Sequim, especially for our parks, is rare and for us a real treasure. I will dearly miss his presence on the city council.”

“I have enjoyed working with councilor Hall a great deal, said City Manager Steve Burkett. “We appreciate Don’s years of commitment and hard work for the City. We will all miss working with him.”
