Vintage milk cans, painted by local artists, are on display at businesses throughout the Sequim-Dungeness Valley. The milk cans are part of the Sequim Centennial Celebration and pay tribute to the agricultural heritage, specifically the dairy farming industry, which is a significant part of the Sequim-Dungeness Valley history. The location of the milk can painted by local artist Jeff Tocher has changed from Barton’s Tack and Boot Repair to Clallam Title, located at 205 W. Washington Street.
Enter to WinResidents and visitors can pick up a passport at any participating business and have it stamped at each milk can location. Once all of the locations have been visited, the passport can be turned in at City Hall, 152 W. Cedar Street. The participant will receive a Sequim Centennial decal and be entered to win a monthly drawing for prizes.
Milk Cans Silent AuctionThe painted milk cans are all part of a silent auction that will raise money to help pay for the Sequim Centennial Celebration. Visit Sequim City Hall to bid on your favorite can. The auction winners will be announced at the Sequim Centennial Finale Celebration on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Club SEVEN at Seven Cedars Casino.
