[ARCHIVED] Sequim Palm Tree Available

Beginning April 22, 2014 Lydig Construction will begin demolition of the old City Hall, located at 152 W. Cedar Street, and the Serenity House Buildings, located on Sequim Avenue, in preparation for the new Civic Center construction. The palm tree, which is located at the front of the City Hall, will be demolished with the building unless someone from the community is interested in removing it before the demolition.

“We have researched moving the palm tree to a new location, but this is an added expense to the project, and we don’t have a good location to move the tree to,” said City Manager Steve Burkett. “Recognizing that there might be some sentimental attachment to the tree, we wanted to offer a member of the community the opportunity to remove and keep the tree.”

If you are interested in removing the palm tree, please submit a proposal by Friday, March 28, 2014 explaining how you will remove the tree, along with a proof of adequate liability insurance to protect the City of Sequim and Lydig Construction from potential damage to:
