[ARCHIVED] City Offices to Close for Move to New Civic Center


SEQUIM--The City of Sequim Administrative Offices, located at 226 N. Sequim Avenue, will be closed on Thursday, May 14 and Friday, May 15, 2015. All other Sequim City offices; Police and Finance/Utility Billing, located at 609 W. Washington Street; and Public Works and Community Development; located at 615 N. 5th Avenue, will close at 12:00 noon on Thursday, May 14, 2015 and remain closed until the new Civic Center opens on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 8:00 a.m.

Beginning May 18, 2015, the new Civic Center, located at 152 W. Cedar Street, will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will house the Police Station and City Hall.

The closure is necessary to move the physical assets of the Police Station and City Hall as well as the technology infrastructure. City staff email, telephones, and voicemail service will not be available during this time period. There will be no passport service on Thursday, May 14 or Friday, May 15.

If you have an emergency, call 911. For non-emergency issues in Police call (360) 683-7227, for non-emergencies in Public Works call (360) 912-7059.

There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at the main entrance to the building at 12:00 noon on Monday, May 18.

The official Civic Center Dedication Ceremony will be held on Saturday, June 13 at 2:00 p.m. Tours of the building will be held from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m.
