The City of Sequim held the fourth annual Karaoke Idol competition as part of the 2015 Music in the Park program on Tuesday, July 28. Sixteen musical acts competed for the title with Natalie Wilson winning first place for her versions of “Don’t Stop Believing” and “Don’t You Want Somebody to Love.” Kaylee Ditlefsen won second place and Lisa Wentworth won third place in the competition. An honorable mention was given to the duet of Katy Bowman and Michael Curran. Hosts for the evening were Pepper Fisher and Sue Hagener. The judges were Mayor Candace Pratt, Councilor Ken Hays, and City representatives Karen Kuznek-Reese and Barbara Hanna.
The Music in the Park program continues Tuesday evenings throughout August at 6:00 p.m. at the James Center for the Performing Arts, located at the Water Reuse Demonstration Sit, just north of Carrie Blake Park at 563 N. Rhodefer Road.
