The City of Sequim has hired Barry Berezowsky as the new Community Development Manager effective June 12, 2017. Berezowsky replaces Chris Hugo, who retired on May 22, 2017.
“We are very excited to have Barry join our team at the City. He is a Sequim resident and understands our community. His experience and customer service priorities make him a great fit for the Community Development Manager role,” said Assistant City Manager Joe Irvin.

He has extensive knowledge of the Washington State Growth Management Act and has experience in long-range planning and the Washington State Main Street program.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to serve the community I’ve called home for the past 17 years. I look forward to working with city representatives and community members to help Sequim retain its small town charm, while accommodating growth in ways that build on the qualities that make us proud of our city and its unique characteristics,” Berezowsky said.
Berezowsky holds a Master of Urban Planning degree from the University of Washington, a Master of Arts from the Department of Geography and Regional Development at the University of Arizona, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Georaphy from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia.
