Posted on: September 8, 2017[ARCHIVED] The City of Sequim and United Way Partner for Day of Caring
SEQUIM – The City of Sequim will partner with the United Way of Clallam County to hold a Day of Caring clean-up in Carrie Blake Community Park from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Monday, September 11. The United Way Day of Caring events occur annually in September. This is an opportunity for volunteers to complete local service projects.
Those wishing to complete early registration to volunteer can register for the Day of Caring event on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/events/901990236621252. Volunteers will gather by the Water Reuse Demonstration Building within Carrie Blake Park, located off of the East Fir Street and the North Blake Avenue entrance, to sign-in and receive assignments. Last minute volunteers are welcome. All olunteers are encouraged to bring work gloves.
The Carrie Blake Park service projects include:
• Removing brush near Blake Avenue
• Spreading bark and gravel
