[ARCHIVED] The City of Sequim to Conduct Traffic Counts at Various Intersections

The City of Sequim, through its on-call traffic engineering contract with Transpo Group of Seattle, is collecting traffic data to be used for transportation planning for future projects.

Data will be collected using low resolution cameras mounted on poles or other means on West Washington Street at Sequim Avenue, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th Avenues as well as at East Washington Street and Lee Chatfield and the intersections of West Prairie Street at Sequim Avenue, 3rd, 5th and 7th Avenues and East Prairie Street and South Sunnyside Avenue to collect traffic data.  The data collected includes vehicle and pedestrian counts and turning movement volumes

The time period for data collection is Thursday, June 13, 2019 through Sunday, June 16, 2019.

The cameras used to collect data are low-resolution and are incapable of being used for facial recognition or the reading of license plates.  Private information is not being collected or analyzed through these efforts.
