Volunteers in the News
Thank you to our City volunteers! Volunteers donated their time and talent to beautify city planting areas, maintain trails, build and repair foot bridges, assist with scanning documents, serve as a concierge in the Civic Center and support the Sequim Police Department through the Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) program, as well as many other activities.
Volunteers are serving the City by serving as a concierge in the Civic Center, scanning and electronically filing documents, weeding and picking up trash in the parks and on trails, and completing service projects. Volunteers also serve in various roles in the Volunteer in Police Service program.
Area organizations and neighborhood groups are invited to Adopt-A-Planting Site in Sequim. Volunteers are provided with supplies to maintain planting sites. Interested individuals, groups or businesses are invited to contact Karen Abbott.
The Hardy Fuchsia Garden on East Washington at Bell Creek Plaza is currently up for adoption. This well-established garden was created several years ago by the North Olympic Fuchsia Society and is home to approximately fifty different hardy fuchsias. In addition, the City is looking for an additional person, group, or business to adopt the planting strip along Blake Avenue, one at Brackett Road and one at Dunlap Avenue.
Thank you to those who have adopted planting areas in the City of Sequim!

Links to the Volunteer Timesheet Google Form will be sent to volunteers via email. This new system eases Staff's time spent tracking timesheets and recording information in multiple timesheets. For those volunteers unable to use the Google tracking, please use this alternative - Timesheets (PDF). Please return to Karen Abbott at the end of each month.
