Union Contracts

The City of Sequim has three unions with the following bargaining unit contracts:

• Teamsters Local No 589, Non-Uniformed Employees (PDF)
• Teamsters Local No 589, Police Patrol Officers (PDF)
• Teamsters Local No 589, Police Sergeants (PDF)
• 2021 SPD Contract and Subscription Agreement Extensions

Labor-Management Committee

A labor-management committee meets regularly to discuss employee issues, policies, budget impacts, and concerns.

Civil Service Commission

Police officers are hired under the authority of the City of Sequim Civil Service Commission. This commission ensures that these public safety employees are hired on the basis of merit, and only disciplined or terminated for cause.
